Ιt is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Professor Konstantinos Koutsoumanis, Head of Laboratory of Food Microbiology and Hygiene of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a remarkable scientist whose contribution has left an indelible mark on the field of Food Microbiology. Professor Koutsoumanis was an exceptional scientist, mentor, and tutor, deeply respected by the academic community and his students.In recognition to his invaluable work and enduring impact, this year’s International Conference on Predictive Modelling in Food is dedicated to his memory. As we come together to share knowledge and advancements, we also take a moment to reflect on Prof. Koutsoumanis’s immense influence, not only in our community, but also in the lives of those who had the privilege of working alongside him as well the next generation of young scientists. |
