The Mikis Theodorakis Theatre is a modern cultural venue in the Venetian Harbour of Chania, housed in the historic Old Customs House. The theatre has a capacity of 400 people and is suitable for cultural events, performances, and international conferences. The venue is equipped with air conditioning, lighting and sound equipment, Wi-Fi, amphitheatre-style seating, and accessibility facilities.

Located in the Venetian Harbour of Chania, construction of the large stone building that was intended to house the Customs House began in early 1912. The building stands between the complex of the seven shipyards and the “Grand Arsenal” and is therefore still known locally as the “Old Customs House.”

The “Mikis Theodorakis” Theatre was officially inaugurated in October 2017, in the presence of the renowned Greek composer himself.
